Thoughts

One day at Goodwill, I found two blue floral pillowcases and I was immediately inspired to create a royal-looking corset top. My favorite part about this top is that nearly 100% of the original pillowcase materials were used. The pillowcases had two types of blue fabrics, one of which was used for the main bodice and the other which was used for the pleated peplum. Gold trim from the original pillows was used on the edges of the top. Even the pillowcase linings were repurposed to line the top. Later on I found a gold colored bedsheet that went perfectly with the top and I used it to create a matching under dress. Overall the outfit has a lovely agrarian and Cottagecore feel.
